STEWARD

Our stewardship is forever

Looking after our protected properties is the most important part of our work. All Georgian Bay Land Trust protected properties are carefully monitored and maintained by our committed staff as well as a team of over 100 dedicated stewards and volunteers from nearby communities.

Stewardship includes ensuring that visitors behave responsibly and follow our land-use policies, educating others about our unique environment, monitoring properties' ongoing ecological health, and identifying conservation priorities. Through regular check-ups, species-at-risk monitoring, and invasive species removal, we ensure that each property remains in a healthy natural state for generations to come.
