Summer Positions
Conservation Intern (11 week contract)
*must be age 30 or under, ideal for students with personal accommodations in the southeastern Georgian Bay area
Conservation Interns will conduct environmental stewardship and monitoring tasks on Georgian Bay Land Trust properties, interface with visitors, and assist with events and research projects.

Research Students will assist with fieldwork for studies on Eastern Whip-poor-wills, Prairie Warblers, and wetlands, with tasks including species presence/absence surveys, vegetation surveys, and general species monitoring and observation.

Corridor Students will assist in monitoring new and potential lands protected under the Georgian Bay Land Trust’s corridor project, with activities including species surveys, disturbance mapping, general inventory, and ecosystem classification.

Conservation Assistant (9 month contract)
The Conservation Assistant will support planning, reporting, and fieldwork for the Georgian Bay Land Trust’s summer research projects, and will assist the Conservation Director with other conservation work, including the preparation of standard operating protocols.

Multi-species Action Plan Coordinator (12 month contract)
This position will be responsible for working with the Conservation Director to create and implement the Georgian Bay Land Trust’s Multi-species Action Plan. A major focus will be the identification of provincially significant species and their habitats, using targeted surveys to adequately capture the ecology of Georgian Bay.
