If you wish to receive a US charitable tax receipt for your donation, please donate to the Great Lakes Basin Conservancy, and indicate that your donation is intended to support the work of the Georgian Bay Land Trust.

Donating appreciated stocks, bonds, ETFs, and mutual fund units is a great way to support the Land Trust while exempting yourself from capital gains taxes on these assets.

When you donate securities you will receive a tax receipt for the full market value of the shares at the date of the transfer.

Stewardship and Conservation Funds ensure that Georgian Bay Land Trust properties will be protected forever. In accordance with the Canadian Land Trust Standards and Practices, we maintain sufficient restricted funds to cover the long-term costs of stewarding and defending our land and conservation agreements. Stewardship funds are independent of the Land Trust’s annual operating and program revenue, and are managed for long-term capital growth.
