PROTEct
Protecting the land and all that depends on it
The Georgian Bay Land Trust is the only organization currently working to protect more land on eastern Georgian Bay. We have contributed to the protection of over 41,000 acres of ecologically significant land stretching from Port Severn to the North Channel. These places include a range of wetlands, forests, rock barrens, and islands, and provide habitat to 50 species at risk. Some of our properties welcome visitors, while others are managed to protect sensitive ecosystems with little human impact.

Protecting Habitat for 50 Species at Risk
We are always working to create new protected areas alongside communities and landowners who wish to see the places they love protected forever. We craft Conservation Easement Agreements with landowners, accept donations of land, and purchase significant properties.
To learn more about how you can conserve your land for generations to come, consider donating land or granting an easement.
