Property Info
The Campbell Reserve was the Georgian Bay Land Trust’s first protected property in the North Channel. It is typical of the area, with rocky elevation, mixed boreal forest, and a large number of Red Pines. The property encompasses 37 acres along the southern shore of Hotham Island, and has representation of both coastal and interior vegetation community types. The majority of the shoreline is made up of marshes, which have a high diversity of species and are among the property's most ecologically important areas. The interior of the property is dominated by White Pine and Red Pine forest.
Thank you to Glen and Jane-Anne Campbell for generously donating this property in 2008, and expanding our conservation work to the beautiful North Channel.
