The Watson Stewardship Fund was created in 2004 to provide for the protection and care of islands and waterfront property secured by the Georgian Bay Land Trust, on southern Georgian Bay from Waubaushene to the Monument Channel.

The fund was also created to recognize the affection of the Watson family for this unique and rugged landscape arising from enjoyment over many generations, and, to establish a fund and encourage others who share that affection to provide for the protection of natural habitats and the undeveloped character of those lands, forever.
