Tailor a Planned Gift to the GBLT for your own unique situation and circumstances
When you plan a gift to the GBLT you are helping to preserve the Georgian Bay environment and to make a positive difference to future generations.
Each planned gift is placed in our Legacy Stewardship Endowment Fund. We believe that the capital from planned gifts should be protected forever. The annual interest will be used to support GBLT’s ongoing stewardship activities.
Planned gifts allow you to:
- Gain valuable credits on your final estate income tax return
- Enjoy current tax savings and secure a lifetime income for yourself and/or your spouse
- Establish a memorial fund in the name of a loved one
- Provide a significant legacy with a small current contribution
- Leave something truly meaningful for people to remember you by
Planned gifts are tailored to your personal circumstances. You will need to consult with your lawyer and other estate planners and financial advisors before making a gift of this nature.
Please contact us to discuss making a Planned Gift.
Charitable bequests are gifts made through your will. You can choose to leave GBLT a pre-determined sum of money or a percentage of your estate.
Life Insurance Policies
Giving through life insurance is a low cost way to give. You can give a new policy, an existing policy or simply name the GBLT as the beneficiary.
The Wally King Legacy Circle is named after our founding chair, Wally King, to celebrate his outstanding commitment to the Georgian Bay Land Trust. The Legacy Circle celebrates Planned Gifts and encourages others to make similar donations that will help GBLT carry on its work.
Should you wish, your planned gift can be recognized through the Wally King Legacy Circle. Join our current members and let others know that you have made a gift in your will.
