Walking for Wilderness

We’re putting on our walking shoes for wilderness conservation! On Saturday, September 24th, we’ll be hiking the trails of Rose Island to raise funds to protect wilderness areas along the eastern shore of Georgian Bay and the North Channel. Please join us!

Things to note:
– Rose Island is boat-access only. If you’d like to come but don’t have access to a boat, please get in touch with Sarah at (416) 440-1519 x102 or sarah.koetsier@gblt.org.
– The walking trails are relatively flat but do include some tree roots, uneven ground, etc. Participants should be prepared for this level of walking and wearing appropriate footwear.
– Please bring drinking water, snacks and/or lunch, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather.
