Protect the Land

How your donation helps to protect the unique wilderness of Georgian Bay.

The GBLT is a not-for-profit registered charity supported by people who love and want to protect the wilderness of Georgian Bay for current and future generations.

It is made up of residents, cottagers, boaters, sailors, kayakers, canoeists, native communities, fishers, campers, hikers and nature enthusiasts and more who share a passion for preserving this incredible area.

Your donation will help pay for the maintenance and monitoring of the 4,000+ acres already under the GBLT’s care and everything else needed to protect the wilderness you love now and for future generations.

About our partner:

GBLT is proud to partner with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) in protecting the unique lands and wilderness of the Eastern Georgian Bay Coast.

NCC is Canada’s leading national land conservation organization. A private, non-profit organization, NCC partners with individuals, corporations, other non-profit organizations such as the GBLT and governments at all levels to protect our most important natural treasures — the natural areas that sustain Canada’s plants and wildlife.

Since 1962, NCC has helped to conserve more than 2.7 million acres (1.1 million hectares) of ecologically significant land from coast to coast.

GBLT and NCC have worked together for many years on shared priorities on Georgian Bay, including the acquisition of lands and stewardship of conserved areas.

Please make your donation today to protect and take care of wilderness lands—for now and forever.
