Property Info

This property is a conservation easement held by the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC). GBLT provides support for stewardship of the property. The property is adjacent to the Massasauga Provincial Park and includes a complex pattern of bare granitic ridges and outcrops covered in grass, herb and scrub vegetation amongst upland forest and an intricate series of wetlands. Upland forests are both early successional in thinly buried bedrock areas and late successional in areas of deeper soil. A number of coastal wetlands are found on the property supporting both regionally and provincially rare plant species.
