Three Bears is a conservation easement held by the GBLT in the Sans Souci community. The easement includes 2 of the 3 "Bears", the 3rd "Bear" being part of the recent additions to the Massasauga Provincial Park. The islands include extensive coastal meadow marshes both between the islands and along their shores, which include representation of a number of regionally significant species. The upland is quite diverse with large Red Oak, Red Maple, Balsam Fir, Eastern White Cedar and Eastern Hemlock trees.

The Georgian Bay Land Trust seeks to preserve the unique archipelago and the adjacent water bodies which lie along the eastern shore and North Channel of Georgian Bay that are of ecological, geological and historical importance, and to promote the appreciation of this special area.
