Property Info
Located on the southeast shore of Bone Island, Kemerer Reserve is a conservation easement held by the GBLT in the Cognashene community. Adjacent to two other easement lots, Kemerer contributes to the protection of one of the highest priority areas of the southern half of eastern Georgian Bay. Kemerer’s forest-interior wetland complex provides confirmed breeding habitat for eastern fox snake and songbirds, while its coastal meadow marsh supports several regional and provincially significant plant species.
