Grenville Volunteer Award
"We have a great responsibility that has come to us as heirs of the Georgian Bay and its adjacent littoral. As Directors and Advisory Board members, we are defacto, ‘Trustees’ of the future. The significance for all of us is the ability of proving ourselves worthy of this opportunity. May this be never lost."
This annual award is presented to a Georgian Bay Land Trust (GBLT) volunteer who has shown outstanding commitment to the GBLT and its mission.
This award is an opportunity to celebrate the significant contribution that volunteers make to the GBLT – serving as the foundation of the organization.
This award is based on the following components:
1) The volunteer has made a significant contribution of their time and expertise to help the GBLT meet its mission of protecting and stewarding land along the eastern coast of Georgian Bay and the North Channel.
2) The volunteer is a proven team player that contributes to the efforts of other volunteers and staff of the GBLT.
3) The volunteer is enthusiastic and engages others in their efforts to contribute to the mission of the GBLT.
4) The volunteer is an outstanding ambassador for the GBLT in their community.
Nominations will be accepted up until May 30th and the recipient will be determined by the Executive Committee of the GBLT.
The Georgian Bay Land Trust seeks to preserve the unique archipelago and the adjacent water bodies which lie along the eastern shore and North Channel of Georgian Bay that are of ecological, geological and historical importance, and to promote the appreciation of this special area.
