How we help you

Over the years the GBLT has developed all kinds of handbooks and guides about Stewarding, but like most things the best teachers will be your fellow Stewards. Everyone was a first timer once, so you'll find lots of support.

First of all, there are the two co-Stewards for each property. Then there is the Chair of the whole Stewardship program as well as the GBLT staff.

You'll be given full information on the property you are monitoring, and hands on training from one of the existing Stewards or maybe one who is passing the mantle to you.

Many of our Stewards have built up long lasting friendships with people they otherwise wouldn't have met simply because they share a mutual concern for the bay we all love.

Oh, and you'll be invited to the special Stewards' thank you party each year where you can meet others and trade notes and tips.
